This year marks my third time participating in the annual National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Fall Homeowner Workshop. I have attended the workshop many times, and I am still learning about the many aspects of home building. This workshop is for the Homeowner’s Association (HA) members and there are many different topics that are covered at the workshop.
This year’s workshop was titled Building A Home at Homeowners Association NAHB Fall Homeowner Workshop, and it was held at a resort in Northern VA. There were four sessions, with two full days of hands-on activities, followed by a three-day retreat, and then the Workshop itself. This workshop was very much like the previous workshop in terms of the topics that were covered, but it was a lot more about actually building the home.
I am pleased to announce that I have won the “Homes and Homes for Sale” category at the 2017 NAHB Show. In doing so, I became the NAHB’s first official “Landscaping” representative, and I’m thrilled to be able to offer buyers of our home some pointers about what to look for when buying a new home.
Yes, I know that last sentence is a little bit of a mouthful, but I promise you I’ve had the best time. I’ve been in the home construction game for quite some time and I’ve been doing my best to keep up with all of the changes. The big thing that Ive found to be helpful is to get your inspector to look at your home’s exterior and see what the building codes say about the best way to do things on the outside of the home. They should look at the exterior to determine how to make it look better with the exterior design.
Ive tried to keep some of my old interior elements and interior elements from getting corrupted, but Ive kept them from being corrupted. It seems like you need to get your inspector to give you a warning. It doesn’t work for me though.
