This is the first article of the series that I have written thus far. In this article, I will examine the concept of self-awareness, or the awareness of our own thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Our goal as construction professionals is to design, build, and manage buildings that create as much value as possible. When we put our thoughts, feelings, and actions into action, it produces a feeling of self-efficacy. Self-efficacy takes into account the amount of value that a particular design, build, or management strategy creates. To have a high self-efficacy, your self-awareness needs to be high.

You may not want to build a building that creates a lot of value, but to have a high self-efficacy would be great. It might also be interesting to have your design-building team start a new project with you because they might have a few projects going on over the next couple of weeks.

By the way, if you’re thinking about building a new home, a new construction home, or just moving into a new house, this is a great time to look at the various construction companies you might consider working with.

One of the biggest issues in moving into a new construction home is that many of the contractors are not licensed and that is a huge problem. The real estate agent can help you determine if you should hire a licensed contractor or a “builder”. A licensed contractor is able to work on your home and in many cases can even start work as soon as you move in.

The real estate agent is not only able to help you with this, but can also help you find a licensed contractor. But how do you tell if the company you are considering hiring is licensed? The first step is to do a little research and figure out what kind of company your home is being built for. Most new construction homes are for commercial use so this can be pretty easy to determine. The second step is to visit the company and see if they are licensed.

If you are building a home, you don’t want to end up with a home that looks like someone’s idea of a construction project. You want to be able to make a commitment to your home.
